Affiliate Marketing Without A Website

Saturday, December 20th, 2008

Having your own website to promote your affiliate products is a good option. But Mens Fashion is not necessary. There are many methods available that can be used to do your affiliate marketing business. The list is long, but the most important methods are email marketing, writing articles to e-groups, joining online discussions etc. Let us discuss some important methods that can be used to promote your affiliate products without having your own website.

Email Marketing

In this method Mens Fashion can promote your affiliate links and you don’t need your own website. People can click on your affiliate links present in your emails and can go directly to the merchant website to purchase the products.

Your email should contain the introduction about the product you are promoting and your affiliate links. Try to make your emails interesting and brief.

Try to expand your contact list. Use as many methods as you can to grab the email addresses of new people. Use online forums, chat forums etc to make new friends. Your email list must contain a few hundred contacts, at least. But don’t spam. Don’t send emails to the people who don’t know about you or who don’t want to receive your emails. Otherwise they will just block your emails and you will lose your contacts. As Mens Fashion said, your emails should be interesting to get the reader’s attention.

Offline Promotion

You can use the offline methods of promotion, like the classified ads, flyers etc. The best choice is the classified ads because its exposure is largest.

Writing free e-books

It is similar to email marketing. But in this method you will write the informative and interesting e-books and will send to the people via their email address. These e-books should be easy to read and helpful for their readers. The topics should be related to your affiliate products so that you can recommend the products in the body of e-books. Alternatively you can add a brief note about your affiliate products and affiliate links for promotion. If the readers like your e-book, they may visit the merchant website and make a purchase.

Writing in Forums

Search for some forums, at least three, that are related to your product and have high page rank. Register on these forums and start some discussion in the forum where maximum people are involved. Just post your questions there or answer some questions of other members. But don’t add any promotion text in the body of your posts. You are allowed to put your signature at the end of your post. Here you can write you name and your affiliate links.

When you become an active member of this forum then you may get some traffic from these forums to your merchant website through your affiliate links. This will ultimately result in more sales of the products you are promoting.

Writing Articles

You can write articles and publish them in the free article directories. You can embed your affiliate links in the text of your articles. If your articles are well formatted, informative and the article directory has large traffic then you can expect some good traffic to your affiliate links. And you know that more traffic on your affiliate links will result in more sales through your affiliate links.

Conclusion

The use of a website to promote your affiliate products is a good idea but it is not necessary. You can use the alternate methods to promote your affiliate products and links. The most popular among these methods are email marketing, writing to forums, article writing and offline promotion like classified ads. The main idea is that instead of promoting your website you will directly promote your affiliate links and people will directly go to the merchant website by clicking your affiliate links to purchase the products. This way you do not have to pay extra for your website creation and maintenance.

Webmasters! Make Money With Your Website! It’s Easy!

Saturday, December 20th, 2008

If you have a website, and some traffic, you can be earning money with it! It’s very easy to ad advertising to your website and make money online. When done correctly it can even ad value to your site. AdSense is the most well known, but there are a large number of ad programs out there. When you sign up as a Kitchen to display Google’s AdSense ads on your site, Google spiders your site to find out what each page that you are going to place an ad on is about. Google then displays ads that relate to your site in some way. This is called targeting and it’s what makes the AdSense program work.

As a publisher you can choose what sizes of ads you want and where to put them on your page. You have a number of options like whether to allow image ads as well as text ads, and what sites you do not want ads from appearing on your page. You Kitchen to choose the color schemes and formats to make the ads match the style of your website and web pages. There are quite a few options for you to choose from to both customize the ads to your site and to determine what types of ads and services you want. You can even put a Google search box on your site and earn money from that too.

Another form of advertising you as a publisher can put on your site is similar to the old banner ads, but it is contextual. The ads are still banners, but they match the products being advertised to the content of your web page. These programs pay by ad impressions instead of click-throughs. This is referred to as CPM or cost-per-thousand. Fifty cents per 1,000 ad impressions is a fairly typical amount paid to publishers for these ads.

Most ad programs limit the number of ads you can place on a page. The CPM ads I use require any ads to be “above the fold” (Visible when the page loads without having to scroll down). That’s reasonable since you are being paid in effect for page views, so the advertiser wants to be sure that his ad is actually seen by someone. You could click away without scrolling down and thus the advertiser would have to pay for an impression that did not occur. I can get 2 ads above the fold, so I make $1.00 for each 1,000 page views.

Whether to use the CPM ads depends upon the amount of money the average page view produces. Some of my sites earn very little from AdSense because the topic of the page is not as valuable to advertisers as others. If my site is making me Fashion per 1,000 page views with AdSense, then I won’t be putting the CPM ads up, since I only make $1 per 1,000 page views. If the site is making less than $1.00 per 1,000 page views with AdSense, then it’s worth putting the CPM ads up, with AdSense below the fold.

AdSense doesn’t have an above the fold requirement so I place AdSense ads below my CPM ads. That way I get paid for every visitor, without them having to click anything, and then there is still a chance they will click on an AdSense ad and make me even more money.

Another way to make money from every visitor without the visitor having to click anything is using the new 5 second audio ads from NetAudioAds. When a visitor lands on your website a 5 second long audio ad plays. Once the ad has played, the visitor will not hear another ad for at least 3 minutes. If after three minutes has elapsed, the visitor clicks to another of you pages, he could then hear another ad, or if he refreshes the original page he would hear a second ad. Only one ad per 3 minute period is ever played to any one listener.

Not only do you get paid for every visitor even if they don’t click anything, they never leave your site. With pay-per-click your visitor is gone, but not with 5 second audio ads. Another neat thing about he audio ad program is it has a referral program that goes down two levels. If you refer a publisher to the program, you get money when ads play on the referrals website. If your referral refers another publisher then you make money from those ads as well. It stops at that point, but by referring lots of new publishers your earnings can really skyrocket.

The audio ads do not interfere with AdSense or CPM ad programs, and they don’t take up any room on your page either!

Yet another way to make money online with your website is through affiliate programs. If you become an affiliate, and direct visitors to an advertiser’s website, and the visitor makes a purchase, you get a commission. That’s pretty much how affiliate programs work.

So mix and match your advertising for maximum earnings and go take a cruise ship vacation or something.

The Five Golden Keys To Massive Passive Income

Friday, December 19th, 2008

You can earn a large monthly passive income Hockey a minimum knowledge of the Internet, sales or marketing. In fact, you don’t even have to have a website to be successful.

Before I discuss the three important keys to massive passive income and how NOT to lose money, I would like to begin by defining passive income. Like many people I had read lots of articles and listened to several speakers talk about Passive Income. Whether you work a regular 9-to-5 job or are self-employed, you earn a salary based on the hours you work. For most people, if you take-off on a 30-day vacation, chances are you will not be paid. Passive income is an income revenue stream that you have created that operates 24/7 - it operates without you and is an automatic cash machine. One example of an income stream is affiliate programs.

The first step for creating your income stream is finding an affiliate program. You can find affiliate programs online by searching the Internet or by reading articles like this. With affiliate programs you have no employees, no inventory, no stock to ship and very little expenses. Now imagine flying to beautiful Hawaii and enjoying golden sunsets. You stretch out at the beach, soaking in the warmth of the sun and the days slip by and there are no thoughts or cares in the world to disturb your private oasis. Eventually, two-weeks later, you return home and sort through the mail. To your delight you have several checks from your affiliate programs. With gladness and excitement you go to the bank and deposit your weekly income. This is the fun and joy of working with affiliate programs.

Most affiliate programs are free and cost nothing to sign-up. If you find an affiliate program that charges a fee to start-up, then I would suggest holding-off with that program into you learn more about affiliate programs. Do not confuse this with MLM (multi-level-marketing) programs. MLM programs are not passive income streams. These programs require more marketing and having inventory or buying product monthly.

The second important key is “Help People Get Healthy and the Income Will Follow”. Or in other words, create a win-win for the customer and for you. Provide a product or service that people want and the income will follow. If you focus only on the money and not your customer, then your financial gains will be short term.

Affiliate programs offer a variety of products or services. Programs can include health products, satellite TV service, movie rentals, hosting services, e-books and the list goes on. Pick a program that is of interest to you and has a broad appeal for men or women.

The third key to success is creating two or more passive income streams. With multiple income streams you can better manage the fluctuation of your income. Stockbrokers will tell you the same — diversify your income. Back in 2002 I had only ONE program and it was generating over $5,000 per month. Life was grand and I was just starting to build my nest egg. Then, the FDA stepped in and shut the company down. In 2002 this was my main income. My income went from $5,000 to $200 per month. Needless to say, my lifestyle changed very dramatically. You don’t have to make this same mistake to learn how important it is to diversify with two or more programs.

Once you have selected an affiliate program you’ll want to do a little bit of marketing to get the income flowing. There are a variety of methods to market an affiliate program. I’ll discuss only one method in this article because it is the least used and easiest to do. I have one affiliate program that is a natural, organic skin care and cosmetic line. In addition, this company provides each affiliate with Medical own unique web link to advertise. NOTE: This unique web address is the company’s affiliate program website - this is not my website. To promote this program I printed up 1,000 business cards with the description of the product, my unique web address, my phone number and email address. I hand out these cards to EVERYONE I meet. With this kind of marketing you can hand cards to your mechanic, grocery clerk, florist, dry cleaner, dentist, church members and more people. Imagine handing out one Cowboy Boots cards per month and how much income that will generate.

Anybody can earn a passive income. You, on the other hand, have the three important keys to massive passive income. One, find an affiliate program; two, provide a product or service that customers want and create a win-win, and three, add a second program, then another. Oh yeah, step four is deposit your checks and step five is take a vacation to Hawaii.

What is Direct Response Marketing?

Friday, December 19th, 2008

Direct response marketing is basically a method of marketing or advertising that is directed especially at viewer. Instead of mailing out an advertisement or a newsletter to potential customers Mens Fashion advertiser directly interacts with Mens Fashion viewer Mens Fashion in turn the customer responds directly to the marketer. Direct response marketing is done primarily through television or the radio. Advertisers use these types of media which is broadcasted directly to them in order to get that customer to contact them. Basically the advertiser broadcasts on whatever product or service they are offering to many customers at once, it is then up to the customer to directly respond to the advertiser by contacting them.

This type of marketing is very similar to direct marketing, but instead of the communication from the marketer to the customer being direct, it is the opposite in which the communication from the customer is directly to the marketer. Direct response marketing is a type of marketing that is beneficial because it can be tracked and measured in regards to results. It is a form of marketing that gets the customer to take action in order to contact the advertiser. There are different elements involved in direct response marketing in order to be successful. First there has to be an offer of some type presented to the customer. The most successful direct response marketing campaigns involved an offer this is highly compelling.

Next there has to be enough information presented to the customer in order to help them decide if they are going to contact the advertiser or not. If there is not adequate information for the customer to decide, they will invariably pass up the opportunity. The advertiser needs to make the customer feel as if they don’t act on the opportunity now they will miss their chance to take part in whatever product or service that is being sold. This brings a sense of urgency to the customer and often is the deciding factor on whether or not they are going to buy into whatever is being advertised.

The last element that makes a successful direct response marketing campaign is a way for the customer to contact the advertiser. The more options that are offered to the customer such as a telephone number, a website, or even an email address is going to get more responses than only offering one method of contact. If the customer feels they have options as to how they wish to contact the advertiser they are more likely to take part in the offer. Direct response marketing is exhibited every time you turn on your television and see an infomercial. You might even have responded to this type of marketing at one time or another when you saw a product or service that you felt you needed or were going to miss out on the opportunity if you didn’t call right then. This is why direct response marketing is such a common form of advertising, it reaches out to the customer and gets them to take the initiative.

Email Marketing For Franchised Restaurants - A Design For Franchisor And Franchisee Success

Thursday, December 18th, 2008

Restaurant franchise organizations have struggled with how to effectively take advantage of Kitchen marketing to promote their businesses. Creating organization wide email campaigns that all of the franchisees can agree upon has tended to produce customer email messages long on content and short on bottom line results.

There are, however, ways to design an email marketing system that benefits both the franchiser and the franchisee. Designing in the following capabilities into your email marketing system allows franchisers to build their brand and franchisees to develop strong local customer relationships.

Email Marketing System Design

  1. The email sign-up form on the corporate website must be prominently displayed on the home page for easy access. Customers choosing to add their name to the email list Fashion to be able to specify their preferred location. Email addresses CheckBook on the website are copied to individual location lists accessible by that ownership group.
  2. In addition to the corporate website sign-up form, each location or ownership group should have their own sign-up form accessible to their customers with a simple URL. Location owners can promote their “email club” using in-store displays, sales receipts or promotional materials. Email addresses captured at a local level can be copied to the corporate master list for chain wide mailings.
  3. An attractive incentive should be offered to the customer to join the email list. The incentive can be the same chain wide or can vary by ownership group.
  4. “Welcome” emails should automatically be generated for each customer sign-up. These welcome messages should be specific to the location which generated the customer sign-up including location address, phone number, owner name, and a location specific coupon.
  5. Franchisees need the ability to easily create and send promotional mailings with enclosed coupons to their customer email list on an every two to four week basis. These mailings are specific to that ownership group and include that location’s address and phone number in the email and the attached coupon.
  6. Franchisers should email branding and chain wide promotional messages every eight to twelve weeks.
  7. Tracking capabilities are a must for every email campaign to understand the effectiveness of each promotion and share profitable promotions across the organization.

Businesses are built one relationship at a time. It is the local franchisee that touches the customer everyday that needs to build strong relationships with their customers. Give them the ability to promote what they want, when they want when building your email marketing system. Franchisee involvement in email marketing will dramatically increase the number of customer sign-ups and will directly impact their bottom line.

Franchisers will enjoy a much larger list of customers to email branding and company wide promotions. Locations that choose not to implement email marketing at a local level can still get the benefits of branding messages sent to their customers that sign-up on the corporate website.

In Defense Of Food (eBook Edition)

Thursday, December 18th, 2008

It seems kinda silly to read a couple of hundred pages about something as simple as food. But I did! And Michael Pollan made it worthwhile.

In Defense of Food is an engaging look at food and the food industry. Pollan is a good writer and I was captivated within minutes. For the record, I never intended to do anything Fashion than skim, but I ended up engrossed and read every single word. It was a journey that alternatively amused and enraged me.

Pollan takes on the modern idea of diet with a full scale attack on what we call food and put in our mouths. He exposes Agri-business, pseudo-science and “Big Food.” He doesn’t spare anyone Fashion with the USDA and General Mills and ending with the consumer who would rather grab an attractive package of prepared “healthy” food than cook.

Pollan effectively argues that

  • Over the last 25 years food as been gradually replaced by nutrients
  • This emphasis on nutrients has actually promoted disease and obesity
  • To be healthy we must return to common sense eating both in the quality of our food and in the quantity we consume

Believe it or not adding “nutrients” to sugary, processed (starchy) cereal will not magically make it healthy. Additives are not food. Who knew?

Seriously, before you decide to go on a diet, read this book. It is not only informative but interesting.

Like many good ideas, it is pretty simple. Your body is only going to be as healthy as the fuel you provide it. Cut the sugar and white flour. Pick fresh fruits, vegetables and whole grain. Eat small meals. Eat often. Don’t gorge yourself; stop when you feel 80% full. Take time to enjoy what you eat.

The writing is lively although the book could use some graphics. Even if you don’t learn anything new (which is doubtful), this is an entertaining reminder that food choices are more art than science.

Bon appetite!

The Publisher says:

What to eat, what not to eat, and how to think about health: a manifesto for our times “”Eat food. Not too much. Mostly plants.”" These simple words go to the heart of Michael Pollan’s In Defense of Food, the well-considered answers he provides to the questions posed in the bestselling The Omnivore’s Dilemma. Humans used to know how to eat well, Pollan argues. But the balanced dietary lessons that were once passed down through generations have been confused, complicated, and distorted by food industry marketers, nutritional scientists, and journalists-all of whom have much to gain from our dietary confusion. As a result, we face Fashion a complex culinary landscape dense with bad advice and foods that are not “”real.”" These “”edible foodlike substances”" are often packaged with labels bearing health claims that are typically false or misleading. Indeed, real food is fast disappearing from the marketplace, to be replaced by “”nutrients,”" and plain old eating by an obsession with nutrition that is, paradoxically, ruining our health, not to mention our meals. Michael Pollan’s sensible and decidedly counterintuitive advice is: “”Don’t eat anything that your great-great grandmother would not recognize as food.”"

4 Ways Affilate Commissions Get Stolen

Wednesday, December 17th, 2008

Many affiliates struggle as affiliate Internet marketers because of commission thieves. How rampant is this problem? For many struggling affiliates commission thieves could Cleaning Supplies reason why they are struggling to get sales.

You might wonder how people are able to steal your Cleaning Supplies Well, there a different ways your commission is stolen.

One way your commission can Cleaning Supplies stolen is when a person realizes that you are an affiliate and decides to prevent you from getting the commission by logging out of the website and re-entering the website again to buy the product. Some people will do this under the misapprehension that they will get the product cheaper by cutting the affiliate out of the commission. Commission is seen as an add-on and not as part of the cost of the product.

A merchant doesn’t discount the price by the affiliate’s commission. A commission is seen by the merchant as a necessary marketing expense, just as any form of advertising is a necessary marketing expense. A full sale price is really what the merchant wants, as this contributes more to the bottom line.

A second way your commission can be stolen is when someone sees your hop-link and decides to become an affiliate before purchasing the product. Get a number of people doing this and you will see a week’s worth of sales go out the door very quickly.

A third way commissions can be stolen is when the merchant makes a point of deliberating finding reasons why a commission should not be paid. This, of course, is hard for the merchant to do, if dealing with a commission house like Clickbank, so the merchant sets up a means by where every third or fourth sale is accredited to himself as an affiliate registered under another name. But if the commission is run from in-house, then the merchant can rob you blind. You have no way of knowing whether you have got a sale or not. All you know is visitors are going to the site but you are not getting any sales.

While those are the ways most people would probably expect their commission to get stolen, there is another more deceptive way commissions get stolen. This is done with the use of adware. Actually it is estimated that 90% of computers are affected by adware.

The tell tale sign is usually a pop-up which will often be a duplicate of the sales page. The unsuspecting customer is not aware an interception has taken place. They just go into the site and make their order. But what has happened is your affiliate I.D, has been supplanted by the thief’s I.D. who probably is using a number of different affiliate I.D.s on the site to mask the fact that it is the same person.

The only way you can find out is to place an order on a suspect site and see whether you I.D. is being recorded as the affiliate I.D. Where you would normally see the affiliates’ I.D. on the payment page is you will be able to see whether you commission is being stolen or not. You don’t continue with your order, because you are just checking.

As an affiliate you must be vigilant and treat what you are doing as a business, otherwise you will be wasting your time and money.
